The next ECW meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, at 10:30 am in the Jeff Jones Room. This is our business meeting to plan our activities and meetings for the coming year. All women are invited to attend. We will go out for lunch after the meeting.
The Red Door Sale Return
LADIES, it's that time again - time to start cleaning out your closets and attics for those unwanted “things” to donate to the RED DOOR SALE. Get rid of those clothes you haven't worn in years, discard those items that you really don't like and are just taking up space. We need clothing, books, jewelry, household items, small pieces of furniture, knick-knacks and all those treasures you no longer need.
INGATHERING: March 5-6 (Monday-Tuesday) 10:00-12:00
SALE DAYS: March 9 (Friday) 9:00-2:00 March 10 (Saturday) 9:00-12:00
A table will be set up in the Parish Hall on Sunday, March 4, if it is more convenient for you to bring your donation when you attend church.
AWE Women's Retreat
St. John's Church, Portsmouth is hosting our AWE Retreat for 2012 on February 17 and 18. Are you overwhelmed with responsibilities at home, at work and at church? Your value to God, as revealed in His Word, is so extraordinary. Join us to discover how our Creator sees us and has designed us to find joy and content-ment in our “First Love.” Make your plans to attend the AWE Women's Retreat and learn from our teacher, Ann Neidow.
Friday, February 17 at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, dessert and program.
Saturday, February 18 at 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, program with catered lunch.
Retreat cost is $40 by Jan. 20th. Reservation forms are on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall.
